The Office functions under the direction of City Auditor, Margo Moyer. Mrs. Moyer has been Auditor since 1992 and is serving her third term as auditor.
¤Major Responsibilities:
Accounts payable; oversees account balances; ensures proper spending of city funds; keeps record of assets and liabilities; audit individual departments; keep account of all appropriations made by legislative authority; requisition approval and issuance of purchase orders.
¤Standard Services Provided:
Auditing payables; issuing payment to vendors; recording and posting city revenues; issuing 1099s to vendors; posts appropriation changes approved by council; line item transfers; various insurance invoices; reconciles Auditor's balance to bank.
¤Areas of Service Not Generally Known:
Since the overseeing of the City's funds is the Auditor's responsibility, we strive to ensure that the funds are extended properly; we welcome those who wish to learn proper procedures in expending governmental funds to come to our office and we would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
